"The success of this event is inseparable to the tremendous efforts of our volunteers," said Tournament Director Harry Hardy. "I encourage anyone who has a love for the game or a desire to give back to the community to consider this unique and rewarding experience."
The Sybase Match Play Championship is in need of over 450 volunteers across the Tri-State area to donate their time and energy to ensure another successful event. Volunteering is a great way to interact with people, watch the best female golfers battle head to head, and experience the Tournament behind the scenes. There are a number of different committees that have unique responsibilities, including: Golf Channel support, walking scorers, standard bearers, and hole marshals. Training is provided for committees requiring specific knowledge.
For only $35 volunteers receive a complimentary lunch, event tickets, a tournament shirt, jacket and hat, as well as additional benefits. Volunteering also offers a behind-the-scenes experience with LPGA players, celebrities and media.
