What will it be like to return to your home country and play in front of your fans knowing that it has been a few years and that you only get the opportunity every so often?
I can't wait to go back home and be with friends and family, namely my mum and brother who I have not seen in almost a year. I am also looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd. It is so special for me as I do not get to do it very often as I now base myself in the U.S.
How will it feel to be playing Carnoustie for the first time as the Women’s British Open?
Carnoustie is going to be a great venue. My main concern is that the weather gets in the way of making the championship fair.
What is the key when playing Carnoustie?
The key to Carnoustie is to keep it on the fairway and out of the sneaky pot bunkers.
Does it set up well for your game?
I am not from links golf as Glasgow is more in land, but I have brought my 3-iron to keep it under the wind.
What are you most looking forward to that week?
I am so looking forward to playing in my homeland.
Will you have any friends and family out there supporting you?
I have already been asked by Windyhill Golf Club members for tickets. So if there are any players with extras please pass them along my way and I'll find some friends to pass them on to.
Have you set any goals for this event?
My goal this week realistically is to place a nice top-10 and get my name back on the leaderboard, but why not have dreams of following Catriona Matthew and lift the trophy after giving birth 11 weeks prior. My son Matthew just turned four months old and that would be amazing.
