Nancy Lopez hits her tee shot on the second hole during the first round of the LPGA Championship presented by Wegmans at Locust Hill Country Club on June 24, 2010 in Pittsford, New York.

The morning matches at the ISPS Handa Cup saw the U.S. take a slim two-point lead in four ball, but the afternoon modified alternate shot format favored the Internationals as they stormed back to square up the contest at 12-12 going into tomorrow's individual matches.

Peruvian Jenny Lidback and Canadian Gail Graham led the way, stealing the first match from Americans Christa Johnson and Beth Daniel by one shot. Cindy-Figg Currier and Sherri Turner could not muster the same magic from their morning match win and succumbed to another great pairing for the World, Peru's Alicia Dibos and Catrin Nilsmark of Sweden. Hall of Famers Betsy King and Pat Bradley proved once again unstoppable as they handled the World's Helen Alfredsson and Alison Nicholas without incident, winning another 2 points for the U.S. side.

Despite a relatively even match across the first eight holes, Nancy Lopez and Nancy Scranton could not hold off the Canadian twosome of Lorie Kane and Dawn Coe-Jones, who birdied 18 to take the match. Sherri Steinhauer and Cindy Rarick pulled in another point for the Americans with a half against Jan Stephenson and Anne Marie Palli. The final match found Rosie Jones and Patty Sheehan anchoring successfully once again with a one-shot victory over Jane Crafter and Sally Little. The score is tied at 12-12, the closest these two teams have been overnight since 2007 when the World led 14-10 going into Sunday's matches.
