The Legends Tour, official tour for LPGA professionals age 45 and over, announces the arrival of three LPGA Hall of Famers and nearly a dozen additional LPGA Tour veterans to Grandview Golf Course today for practice rounds anticipating the Walgreens Charity Classic.
JoAnne Carner, Pat Bradley and Patty Sheehan are currently on site preparing for this weekend’s competition. All three are LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famers and have combined for 109 LPGA Tour wins and 15 major championships in their storied careers. Sheehan has also won three Legends Tour events and Bradley has picked up one victory on The Legends Tour.
Also on site are Jane Blalock, 27-time LPGA Tour champion and Nancy Scranton, a 3-time LPGA Tour winner who has also won three times on The Legends Tour. Additional Legends Tour competitors engaging in practice rounds today are: Dawn Coe-Jones, Barb Mucha, Alicia Dibos, Kitty Young-Robyn, Martha Nause , Barb Moxness and Anne-Marie Palli.
The course is open to the media interested in covering the tournament. Event organizers are installing tents, bleachers, roping, signage and other key tournament elements in effort to complete set-up for tomorrow morning’s local qualifier and additional pro practice rounds. The full field of 40 is expected to be on-site Thursday.
