NAPLES, FL (AUG. 15, 2012) – In celebration of the LPGA Tour’s return to Naples, and to showcase the golf course that the players will compete on, the CME Group Titleholders has unveiled a limited-time package to experience both the tournament and the golf course. Now through Sept. 11, the tournament is offering the Eagle Package to the general public. The Eagle Package includes a week-long ticket to the tournament and a round of golf at TwinEagles for only $65. General admission daily and week-long tickets will go on sale on Sept. 12. The CME Group Titleholders will be held Nov. 12-18 at TwinEagles in Naples.
The CME Group Titleholders is the culminating event for the LPGA Tour season and will boast the world’s best female players at what is sure to become one of the most renowned courses in the area – The Eagle. This course was reimagined and completely overhauled by acclaimed architect Steve Smyers, and it is now open for play.
“There is plenty to be excited about with the return of the LPGA Tour to Naples,” said Tournament Director Lesley Baker. “Not only will the best female golfers come to compete for year-end honors, but the CME Group Titleholders will showcase a hidden gem within the Naples-golf community, the brand-new Eagle Course. With our new Eagle Package, we are thrilled to give the people of Southwest Florida the opportunity to experience this great, new course over the next month.”
The Eagle Package includes a week-long ticket to the CME Group Titleholders in November and a golf voucher to play The Eagle between now and Sept. 11 for only $65. Packages can be purchased online at www.cmegrouptitleholders.com or by phone at (239) 593-3900. Dates and tee times must be scheduled through the TwinEagles Pro Shop (239-352-2121) and rounds on The Eagle are subject to availability.
The Eagle is truly unlike any other in the region after the ardent traditionalist Smyers crafted a course that incorporates many of the elements from the “Golden Age of Architecture”; the period of construction prior to 1940 when iconic courses such as Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black and Augusta National were all built. A harmonious relationship with the natural landscape exists on the course that measures more than 7,600 yards from the longest of the five sets of tees and features tiered and thumbprint greens often well-protected with strategically-placed bunkers.
Beginning on Sept. 12, the tournament will offer one-day tickets for $25 and week-long passes for $50. These tickets will be available online, by phone or at the PGA Tour Superstore.http://bit.ly/PYJkjG Weekly ticket & round!
