Karrie Webb of Australia hits her tee shot on the 4th hole during the final round of the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic at the Crossings Course at the Robert Trent Jones Trail at Magnolia Grove on May 19, 2013 in Mobile, Alabama.

The inaugural International Crown will be played July 22-27, 2014 at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, MD.  It is a first-of-its-kind biennial, global, team match play competition, featuring eight countries from across the globe and the top four ranked players from each of those countries.

With the International Crown less than a year away, the competition has begun to intensify as countries and players battle for the coveted goal of qualifying their country and being one of the four players to represent their countries flag.

The final field of eight countries will be determined by the combined Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings of the top four players from each country at the conclusion of the 2013 season-ending CME Group Titleholders event (November 25) in Naples, Florida. The top four individual players for each of the qualifying countries will then be determined by the Rolex World Rankings on the Monday of the LPGA’s first major championship in 2014, the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

There are only six weeks until the eight countries are named and we’re highlighting them one by one, this week we highlight the country currently in sixth place.
