The LPGA Hana Bank Championship recently announced that the event will be returning to the Sky 72 Golf Club Ocean Course this year. The tournament, scheduled for October 29-31, also unveiled its new logo. Similar to the Korean flag’s “tae-guk” mark, the logo was designed not only to signify the importance of this event to the nation of Korea, but also was designed to replicate the dynamic motion of a golf ball in flight.
Hana Bank President Kim Jung-Tae (second from left) expressed how proud he was to be hosting this event in Korea and promised Hana Bank’s full support in making this tournament one of the best in Asia.
The LPGA Hana Bank Championship carries a purse of $1.8 million. The field consists of the top 50 players from the LPGA Tour, the top 12 KLPGA players, and seven sponsor invites, including the KLPGA Amateur Championship winner.
The Golf Channel will air coverage of all three rounds of this year’s LPGA Hana Bank Championship.
