Tickets on-sale for LPGA Tour Championship at Grand Cypress Golf Club

Volunteer applications also being accepted for season-ending event

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Aug. 9, 2010 - Tickets are on-sale and volunteers are needed for the 2010 LPGA Tour Championship, the LPGA announced today. The season-ending event will take place at Grand Cypress Golf Club in Orlando, Fla., Dec. 2-5, 2010.

"The Orlando area is a great location for our season-ending event and we could not be more excited to make tickets available to Central Florida residents, as well as those traveling to the area to see the LPGA's best tee it up," said Greg Conrad, LPGA Tour Championship tournament director. "Grand Cypress will provide an excellent backdrop for fans to witness history as the LPGA returns to Florida."

Fans can call 1-888-LPGATIX (574-2849) or log-on to www.LPGATourChampionship.org to choose from a variety of ticket options. Individual Practice Day Tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday (Nov. 30 - Dec. 1) are $10, while Individual Competition Day Tickets for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 2 - 5) are $20. Additionally, Weekly Grounds Tickets are available for $65. Individual Day Clubhouse Passes are available for $35, while Weekly Clubhouse Passes are available for $105. Finally, the Grand Cypress Ticket Package provides 24 Any Day Grounds Tickets (Tuesday through Sunday) for $300.

Children 17 and under will receive free admission with a ticketed adult. Active military members and their immediate family can receive free tournament admission when showing a valid active military ID at the main admission gate.
Additionally, volunteers are needed in a variety of areas including Admissions/Will Call, Communications, Scoring Control, Gallery Control, Standard Bearers, Transportation and Walking Scorers. Prospective volunteers should log-on to www.LPGATourChampionship.org to apply. Volunteers will receive a golf shirt, hat, a badge providing access to the grounds all week, one complimentary weekly grounds ticket for friends and family, a lunch voucher for each day worked and one round of golf at Grand Cypress.

Last year's LPGA Tour Championship was won by Orlando resident Anna Nordqvist.
