LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK telecom

Hana Financial Group is pleased to announce that SK Telecom, South Korea's leading Telecommunications Company, has been confirmed as the presenting sponsor for the upcoming LPGA tournament held annually in Korea.

Hana Financial Group and SK Telecom recently held a signing ceremony at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul on the 9th of September, officially beginning SK Telecom's involvement with the tournament. In recognition of SK Telecom's support of the tournament, the tournament title has been changed to 'LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK telecom'. A new tournament logo has also been designed and released, incorporating SK Telecom's logo as an integral part of the tournament logo.

Although this is their first year as presenting sponsor of an LPGA tournament, SK Telecom are no strangers to golf. The 'SK Telecom Open', a KPGA tournament, has been continuously held for last 14 years. SK Telecom has also sponsored Korea's top men & women's golfers such as KJ Choi and Na Yeon Choi further contributing to the development of the game of golf in Korea. SK Telecom's support of the 'LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK telecom' reaffirms their commitment to Korean sport and golf in particular.

Hana Financial Group and SK Telecom have formed a close relationship through various business alliances, highlighted earlier in 2010 with the launch of the "Hana SK Card". Both companies expect to continue to solidify their relationship and this landmark agreement is further evidence of this.

The executive director of Hana Financial Group, Mr. Im Young Ho said "I am happy to receive the national information & telecommunication company, SK Telecom as a tournament partner, and I am sure that it is to be a productive and prosperous partnership", and offered his opinion that "I hope that finance and telecommunication can be one from this meeting and form a great hole in one".

Mr Seo Jeong Won, a Director of Sports at SK Telecom said "Joining in as the presenting sponsor of this prestigious tournament is an opportunity that consolidates SK Telecom's image as a Global ICT Leader".

The 'LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK telecom' will feature a stellar field including defending champion Na Yeon Choi, Paula Creamer, Michelle Wie and Cristie Kerr. The top 50 players from the LPGA Money List will be joined by the top 12 KLPGA players and 7 sponsors invites at Sky 72 Golf Club in Incheon, over the dates 29th - 31st October.
