LPGA event will feature last week's winner Michelle Wie
ROGERS, Ark. - The final field for the 2010 P&G NW Arkansas Championship presented by Walmart has been set, tournament officials announced today. The field will feature 14 of the top 15 players in the world according to the Rolex World Golf Rankings. An official LPGA event, the P&G NW Arkansas Championship presented by Walmart returns to Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Sept. 10 - 12.
Rolex Rankings No. 7 player Michelle Wie will join the tournament field after her victory at the CN Canadian Women's Open on Aug. 29. Wie joins previously committed Rolex Rankings No. 1 player Ai Miyazato, Cristie Kerr (No. 2), Suzann Pettersen (No. 3) and defending champion Jiyai Shin (No. 4).
The field for the 2010 P&G NW Arkansas Championship presented Walmart will also include Yani Tseng (No. 5), Na Yeon Choi (No. 6), In Kyung Kim (No. 8), Song-Hee Kim (No. 9), Anna Norqvist (No. 11), Karrie Webb (No. 12), Angela Stanford (No. 13), Morgan Pressel (No. 14) and Inbee Park (No. 15).
Two spots in the field will be determined at a qualifying event at Pinnacle Country Club on Monday, Sept. 6.
Tickets to the 2010 P&G NW Arkansas Championship presented by Walmart are on sale at www.nwachampionship.com or by calling (479) 715-6100. Daily tickets are $25 for championship play, Friday - Sunday. Week-long grounds badges can be purchased for $50. Admission is free to the public Monday - Thursday. Children 17-years old and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
