Help the Patrons
Admissions/Will Call: Distribute pre-purchased tournament credentials to the appropriate recipient and sell tickets on site. Committee members will also be scanning tickets as patrons enter the gates.
Ambassadors: Act as greeters as patrons enter the tournament. Answer questions regarding directions, pairings, and tournament related information. Manage the info booth and distribution of programs and pairings guides.
Merchandise: Cashiers, cashier assistants, greeters and assistance with stocking and replenishment.
Partner Hosts: Greet sponsors and other guests as they enter the hospitality areas and answer any questions. Ensure that clients with proper credentials are allowed access to the designated areas and help assist in those areas.
Help the Professionals
Driving Range: The volunteers will be responsible for managing and maintaining the practice area including driving range and chipping area.
Caddies and Putting Green: The volunteers will be responsible for caddie registration, caddie bib distribution/pick-up and providing general services for the LPGA Tour caddies during the event. Responsibilities also include managing and maintaining the putting green near the clubhouse and caddie headquarters.
Professional Services: Responsibilities include professional registration including preparing player packets. Also support professional services including locker rooms, childcare and lodging support.
Transportation: Manage tournament cars and transport players and tournament guests from airport to designated hotel or course. Transportation committee will also be responsible for driving shuttles to and from volunteer parking lot. Volunteer Requirements: Must be at least 25 years of age and have valid driver’s license.
Help the Game
Cart Committee: Oversee the distribution of carts to assigned volunteers, sponsors and tournament staff. Cart distribution will be located near Volunteer Headquarters and clubhouse. May also have to assist in shuttling of volunteers to their locations on the course.
Gallery Control: Provide ball spotting to players and control the movement and conversations of spectators; on-course active position. The committee is also responsible for handling the movement of the players during an evacuation. Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
On-Course Services: Replenish water, ice, printed material and other products on course. Volunteer Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age.
Scoreboards: Manage and operate all manual scoreboards.
Scoring Control: Committee is essential in the scoring of the tournament with the use of radio communication and computers.
Scoring Tents: Collect scorecards, check addition and make sure players turn in their cards.
Shuttles: Facilitate the shuttle fleet and help transport sponsors, VIPS, media members and others from the parking lot to the admission gates. Shuttle committee will also be responsible for various shuttles player shuttles around the course and driving range. Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
Standard Bearers: Carry a sign inside the ropes during play and display players’ scores. Volunteers must be able to walk all 18 holes on the golf course.
TV Spotters: Committee works with television production crew in monitoring the tournament leaders for television broadcast.
Walking Marshals: Act as a roaming marshal and assist gallery control when they need more people as different groups of players come through. Will also assist in high traffic areas.
Walking Scorers: Responsibilities include keeping score on handheld Palm device and reporting scores to scoring control by radio. Volunteers must be able to walk a full 18 holes in all types of weather conditions.
Help the Volunteers and Staff
Media Services: Assist in the operations of the media center. Responsibilities include registering the media, answering questions, assisting with interviews, distributing information and scores.
Pro-Am & Special Events: Responsibilities include amateur registration, assembling and distributing gift packs, assisting with pro-am, preparing tournament materials, distributing prizes. Also responsible for any auxiliary events held during the tournament including the junior clinic.
Tournament Office: Assist with general office duties and errands (Must be able to work before the tournament).
Volunteer Services & Uniform Distribution: Assist with volunteers’ check-in, manage tent services, and support other volunteer committees as needed during the day. Also, handle production and distribution of credentials and uniforms. (Must be able to work the week before the event)
