It has always been Katie Futcher’s dream to play a sport at a professional level. But golf was not at the top of her list.

Rolex Rankings No. 17 Angela Stanford, No. 65 Katie Futcher and No. 98 Jenny Shin remain in a tie atop the HSBC Women’s Champions leaderboard after three rounds with some of the Tour’s biggest names lurking close behind. The trio leads China’s Shanshan Feng by two shots and Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng, No. 2 Na Yeon Choi and No. 7 Jiyai Shin by three shots with 18 holes remaining at the fifth-edition of the Singapore-based tournament.

Angela Stanford, Katie Futcher and Jenny Shin are in a three-way tie for the second-round lead at the fifth-annual HSBC Women’s Champions in Singapore. The trio enters the weekend tied at 8-under-par 136 with a three-shot advantage over Hee Young Park, Na Yeon Choi and 2010 HSBC winner Ai Miyazato. On a hot and humid day in Singapore, Shin and Futcher each carded 5-under-par 67’s to join first-round leader Stanford at the top of the leaderboard.
