Former Rolex Rankings No. 1 Lorena Ochoa joined sports stars Mia Hamm, Torrey Smith, Herschel Walker and others in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday for National Health Through Fitness Day. Ochoa, part of a delegation from PING, met with legislators to encourage funding for healthy lifestyle initiatives. In all, 15 celebrity athletes and 150 sponsors were part of the day.

Lorena Ochoa, who turns 31 next week (Nov. 15), is making a rare appearance as a competitor this week at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.

Between 2003 and 2010 Lorena Ochoa fashioned a hall of fame golf career by winning 27 LPGA titles, including two majors championships, and three Rolex Player of the Years awards.

Three of the brightest stars in LPGA history will tee it up in their home countries over the next four weeks and LPGA.com will shine a light on the impact each has made on golf and society in their native countries with the Legends at Home series debuting tomorrow.
