Joined the LPGA Tour in 1980.

1990 was the most successful season of her career. She earned $50,362 on the strength of three top-20 finishes.

Sharff's extensive amateur career was capped off by winning the 1980 Doherty Challenge Cup a year after claiming runner-up honors in that event. In 1976, she won the Pennsylvania State Junior and the PGA National Junior Championship. In 1980 she was an AIAW collegiate All-American.
