5’7”…Played guitar…Graduated of Union High in Grand College…Started golf at age 15 because of avid golfing father…Holds a citation of bravery from Grand Rapids Safety Council.
Professional: Cracked the top-10 twice in 1968, her second year out, but didn’t score consistently until ’73 when she tripled all previous bests. Received instruction from Jim Scott, Everett Van Dusen and Shirley Englehorn.
Amateur: Grand Rapids city champion four times, 1961-3-5-6. Played two years of varsity men’s golf and was a medalist in the women’s intercollegiate of 1964. Low amateur 1963 Wolverine Open; Western Michigan champ, 1965; Spring Lake Open Champion. President of Western Michigan Golf Association. Holder of 11 course records.
