Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng successfully defended her title at the Honda LPGA Thailand and captured her first win of the 2012 season. Tseng nearly knocked her 104-yard approach shot in the hole on the par-5 18th and sank the tap-in birdie putt to capture a one-shot victory over the 2010 champion of this event, Ai Miyazato.

Despite a 73 in the first round and severe weather conditions halting the second round, nothing could stop defending champion and Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng from earning her first victory of the 2012 LPGA season at the Honda LPGA Thailand 2012. The 23-year-old finished the day with a tap-in birdie on the 72nd hole to secure her 13th career and 21st international victory.

Rolex Rankings No. 11 Ai Miyazato fired a 7-under 65 in Saturday's third round to take the outright lead heading into the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand. Miyazato, who won this event in 2010, leads Rolex Rankings No. 1 and defending champion Yani Tseng by one shot.

LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame member Karrie Webb held a two-shot lead at 10-under-par when second-round play at the Honda LPGA Thailand was suspended at 4:58 p.m. due to lightning in the area. A total of 14 players remained on the course was play was officially called for the day at 5:15 p.m.
