Course Grasses

  • Hole 1

A good opening hole, into a prevailing wind with a slight dogleg right. A well placed drive to the left center of the fairway provides an appropriate angle to the green.

  • Hole 2

Slightly uphill par four with a demand for accuracy off the tee. A long tee shot across the grass mounding on the left will reward the player with a good angle to this expansive green. The second shot will play longer than it appears.

  • Hole 3

A picturesque three in a coastal valley setting. Demand for accuracy is critical with two streams flowing left and right into a pond fronting the green. Don't let the beauty of this hole distract you.

  • Hole 4

A straightaway par four with a premium on accuracy off the tee. Driver not necessary with hazard along left side of fairway. The right side of green is shallow and well protected by bunkers.

  • Hole 5

A lengthy par five uphill. Avoid large fairway bunker on right side. Position second shot to left side of fairway for the ideal approach. A well lofted shot to the green will be rewarded.

  • Hole 6

This uphill par three will play one club longer. The green sits thirty feet above the tee, at the highest point on the course. Any weak shots will roll back off this steeply faced green.

  • Hole 7

This downhill par four requires a well placed tee shot down the left side. A carefully played second shot will provide a birdie opportunity.

  • Hole 8

A heroic par five reachable in two, but water and bunkers around the green demand accuracy. To lay up, favor the right side of the sloping fairway to avoid water left. Less club is desired for proper lay up.

  • Hole 9

The shortest par four on the front nine and a good chance for birdie. Drive down the left side of the fairway for best angle to a very large and undulating green.

  • Hole 10

A thinking man's par five. Beward of trouble off the tee bordering the landing area. Keep second shot left to avoid deep fairway bunker. The sloping fairway will bring trouble in from the right. A good birdie opportunity.

  • Hole 11

A striking par three. Avoid the cascading pools of water on right side of green. Mounding left of green may redirect a cautious shot onto the green.

  • Hole 12

A slight uphill par four with a dogleg to the right. There is plenty of fairway left off the tee. No advantage down the right side, only danger. This large double green slopes right.

  • Hole 13

A sharp dogleg left par four. Select extra club to reach this uphill coastal canyon green. A deep bunker awaits the timid.

  • Hole 14

This breathtaking downhill par three plays shorter than the yardage indicates. Proper club selection is a must to this wide and shallow green.

  • Hole 15

A very demanding par four where length and accuracy are a premium. A hazard runs from the left landing area through the green. This hole requires two well played shots. The double green slopes sharply from right to left.

  • Hole 16

A dogleg left with a generous landing area off the tee. A speed slot on the left side of fairway will add length to your drive. Proper club selection to this exceptionally deep green is critical.

  • Hole 17

Longest hole on the course with a premium on accuracy. Tee shot will be guided through stands of eucalyptus trees. Play second shot towards red directional flag for best angle of approach to this narrow green.

  • Hole 18

A dramatic and memorable finishing hole. Direct the tee shot towards the fairway bunkers away from the lake. The shot to the green is visually intimidating and accuracy is essential.
