Rolex Rankings No. 5 Inbee Park will carry a two-shot lead into the final round of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship as she tries to capture her third victory of the 2012 season. Park fired a tournament record 8-under 64 on Saturday and sits at 18-under-par entering Sunday’s final round. She tallied two eagles and five birdies while recording one bogey in her stellar third round.
Rolex Rankings No. 5 Inbee Park and No. 7 Suzann Pettersen (@SuzannPettersen) share the lead at 10-under-par through two rounds of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship (@taiwanlpga). Pettersen continued her hot play of late, firing a 7-under 65 to tie the 18-hole tournament record. Park, who had also tied the tournament record in the first round, followed up her impressive opening round with a 3-under 69 which was highlighted by a near hole-out for eagle on the 18th.
Inbee Park’s impressive second-half surge continued on Thursday in the first round of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship (@taiwanlpga). Park fired a 7-under 65 to take a two-shot lead over Rolex Rankings No. 1 and Taiwan native Yani Tseng (@YaniTseng) after 18 holes of play at the Sunrise Golf & Country Club. Park tallied seven birdies in her bogey-free opening round and she has now shot under par in each of her last eight rounds in LPGA events.
The LPGA returns to Taiwan for the second playing of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship this week where all eyes will be on Rolex Rankings No. 1 Yani Tseng.
