To consistently hit the sweet spot for maximum distance, you should strive to swing with a square club face at all times. Unless, of course, you are trying to hit an intentional curve ball.
This exercise is called Planks. It is great to work on your core stability. You want to make sure you keep your stomach muscles tucked in. Don’t let your butt stick up too much as you want to keep a nice flat back. If you find at any time that this exercise is too hard you can go to your knees.

With this exercise you're going to try and fire each glute muscle independently of the other. First try and squeeze your left glute muscles while keeping your right glute and hamstring relaxed. And then switch. This will help create strength in your glutes and power in your golf swing.
How many times have you hit a golf shot off target and your playing partner says, "You hit it right where you were aiming"? Many errant golf shots are a result of poor alignment. You think you are lined up at your target, but actually you are aligned either right or left of the target.
This exercise is called Bird Dog: Opposite Arm and Opposite Leg. This exercise will stregthen your glute and help with stability in your core.
