LPGA PROFESSIONALS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

In 1983, the first Teaching Division National Championship was held at Placid Lakes Golf Club in Lake Placid, Florida. The purse was $10,000. This event was held every two years, alternating with Section Championships, until 1993, when the Championship became a yearly event. The LPGA T&CP National Championship has since grown to become recognized as the premier tournament for women teaching and club professionals in the world, offering a purse of more than $80,000.

The format for this 3-day event is 54 holes of stroke play in three divisions: Championship (6,300 - 6,500 yards), Challenge (5,900 - 6,200 yards) and Senior (50+ years; 5,600 - 5,800 yards). The top six finishers in the Championship Division earn exemptions into the following year's Wegmans LPGA Championship, an LPGA Tour event.

The LPGA Professionals National Championship festivities include a gala reception, a pro-am, a sponsor demo and other events, offering LPGA professionals a chance to network with their peers and include family and friends in the celebrations.

LPGA PROFESSIONALS NATIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The LPGA Professionals National Team Championship began in 1991 as the LPGA Teaching Division Team Classic, which was held at La Paloma Country Club in Tucson, Arizona. 

The event features 62 two-person teams in a two-day event. Each team may be made up of any combination of Championship, Challenge or Senior Division members. For example: A member who plays from the Championship tees may be partnered with a member who plays from the Senior tees. The format for the first round is Four-Ball Stroke Play and the second round, Alternate Shot. The estimated purse for 2010 is $30,000.LPGA Professionals Team Championship festivities include a welcome reception, a pro-am, and a sponsor demo, offering LPGA professionals a chance to network with their peers and include family and friends in the experience.

LPGA PROFESSIONALS NATIONAL PRO-AM

This LPGA National Pro-Am is a new and exciting event for the LPGA Professionals Membership, since 2014. Some of our locations include for 2014-2016: Mission Hills Country Club, PGA National Resort, Las Vegas Country Club, La Cantera Resort and Pebble Beach.

This 18-hole competitions feature a two-best ball of five format with a separate professional competition. Gross and Net prizes are awarded. In addition, there is an optional Practice round preceding the tournament.

The participant experience includes an exclusive gift experience ranging from a $150 - $250 value - GPS watch, Custom fitted putter, etc.

REGIONAL STROKE PLAY

We would like to introduce our LPGA Professionals Regional Stroke Play events. This is the inaugural year that these types of tournaments are being hosted for the LPGA Professionals members.

The LPGA Professionals Executive Committee waned to give more competitive playing opportunities to the members on a Regional Level.

LPGA PROFESSIONALS SECTION EVENTS

Each of the five LPGA Professionals sections (Central, Midwest, Northeast, Southeast and Western) hold playing events every year.

The formats vary from 36-Hole Stroke Play to Pro-Pro and Pro-Am events. Events usually include purses for pros and/or prizes for amateurs. Non-competitive play is also offered for members who want to enjoy the experience without competing.
