Sandra Changkija likes Columbia Edgewater Country Club. Leader midway through round one of the Cambia Portland Classic, Changkija posted the best finish of her career on this track in 2013 in a tie for ninth. She led for much of the morning, starting her day on the back nine where she shot a 6-under 30 going out. She posted a 7-under 65 after making bogey at the last. She leads by one stroke ahead of Epson Tour’s Brooke Henderson who Monday qualified with a 68 to get into the field this week in Portland. Henderson shot a bogey-free 66 Thursday to climb to solo second on the leaderboard. Jenny Shin, Mo Martin, Sandra Gal and Jacqui Concolino are two back of the lead at 5-under par.
