Olympians Amy Yang and Gaby Lopez will be grouped together on moving day at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, along with Canada’s Maude-Aimee Leblanc. This week, she’s carried that momentum from Rio along with the strong played she’s demonstrated all season long in posting six-top-10’s. Mexico’s Gaby Lopez finished T-31 in Rio and is looking to add a few more points to her total as she sits second in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings. She’s had a strong rookie season with just two missed cuts and her best finish came at the U.S. Women’s Open where she finished T-11. Leblanc is the final member of this group who will enjoy teeing it up in front of a hometown crowd this week in Canada. Her playing partner, Choi, is in search of her second win on the LPGA Tour after capturing her first win just last season after a seven year wait. Choi says she’s made the most of her last three weeks off from the Tour, having not competed in Rio, and put in some extra work with her instructor, which is paying off for her this week in Calgary. At No.364 in the world, Sukapan is a rookie this season on the LPGA Tour and this week made her first cut after missing her last three on Tour.
