Cheyenne Woods, Christina Kim, Suzann Pettersen
Third Round, 9:05 a.m.
Cheyenne Woods, Christina Kim and Suzann Pettersen head into moving day just three-strokes back of the lead at one-over par in a tie for 11th. Woods has missed seven of 11 cuts this season and is playing her best golf of her season. This is her first major start of the season and a win this week would be her first on the LPGA Tour. Kim has played great golf in recent weeks, posting two top-four finishes in her last two starts due in large part to success she’s found with her putting. A victory at Sahalee would mark the first major victory for Kim and first win since 2014. Two-time major champion Pettersen knows what it takes to close out a win and is in the hunt for her first win of 2016.
Lydia Ko, Brittany Lincicome, Tiffany Joh
Third Round, 9:35 a.m.
World No.1 Lydia Ko, two-time major champion Brittany Lincicome and Tiffany Joh are grouped together on moving day at Sahalee. Joh sits two-strokes back at Even par for the championship in a tie for sixth. The 188th ranked player in the world is looking to pick up her first win on Tour and first top-10 of 2016 this week. Lincicome seems to play her best golf under the pressure of a major championship and will have a chance to win her third this weekend, sitting just one-stroke back of the lead in a tie for third heading into the weekend. Ko could also pick up her third major victory this week, in fact, a win this weekend would make it three majors in a row for Ko, which would be a first since Inbee Park pulled off the feat in 2013.
Gerina Piller, Brooke Henderson, Mirim Lee
Third Round, 9:45 a.m.
The final group of the day tees off at 9:45 a.m. with Gerina Piller chasing 36-hole leaders Brooke Henderson and Mirim Lee. Piller is in search of her first win on Tour, having come close throughout 2016 with seven top-10 finishes so far this season. She begins the third round just one-stroke back of Lee and Henderson, who are two-under par for the championship. Lee is a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour looking to win her first major championship and return to the winner’s circle for the first time since her rookie season in 2014. Henderson remains atop the leaderboard despite struggling to a two-over par, 73 on Friday in what were tough and rainy conditions. The Canadian averages her lowest rounds on the weekends.
