In her 135th start on Tour, Jenny Shin shot a bogey free final round 67, to capture her first career LPGA victory at the Volunteers of America Texas Shootout Presented by JTBC. Shin joins Haru Nomura and Ha Na Jang as Rolex First Time Winners in 2016.
Shin is still in awe after her win, but knew it would sink in once she's had the opportunity reflect on the day's round.
“Nothing has registered yet," explained Shin. "I wanted to talk to my mum, but I was on the verge of tears so I hung up without really her answering the phone. I think it will hit me as soon as I talk to my mum, yeah. I don’t have anything going on right now.”
