Austin Ernst, In Gee Chun, Juli Inkster
7:59 a.m. – 10th Tee
Austin Ernst will have fond memories as she returns to Portland, the site of her first win on Tour. She captured the 2014 edition of the Cambia Portland Classic at Edgewater Country Club for her first win on Tour and took to social media this week to share her excitement in returning to what she called her favorite event of the year. She’ll look to pick up another her second win in Oregon or at the very least notch her fourth top-10 of the season. Ernst will play alongside two-time major champion In Gee Chun who is coming off a tie for third last week in Canada where she held the lead during the weekend. The Korean has yet to win this season but has come close with seven top-10s in 2017. Victorious Solheim Cup captain Juli Inkster rounds out this group as she makes her first start on Tour since the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship. She’ll feel right at home in Portland where she won by six strokes in 1999.
Brooke Henderson, Yani Tseng, Mirim Lee
8:10 a.m. – 10th Tee
Brooke Henderson doesn’t know what it's like other than to win in Portland. The back-to-back defending champion hopes to make it three in a row this week. As she told the media Tuesday, she’s hoping to combine the best of her two wins, an ideal setup in 2015 followed by an adrenaline fueled victory in 2016, to win again this year. She’ll need that extra boost to get by this week as she arrives in Oregon following a pressure-packed week in Canada where she competed on her home course in front of massive crowds. Henderson will play alongside former world No. 1 Yani Tseng who struggled for much of the first half of the season with missed cuts in 11 of 13 events. But Tseng looks to have found some form in the back half of the season as she’s made the cut in four of her last five starts and will look to continue that momentum this week in Portland. Also looking to continue to roll with some momentum is Mirim Lee, the third member of this group, who arrives in Portland fresh off a runner-up finish in Canada where she picked up her fourth top-10 of the year.
Ai Miyazato, Nicole Broch Larsen, Lizette Salas
1:10 p.m. – 1st Tee
Ai Miyazato is competing for the final time in the United States at this week’s Cambia Portland Classic. She’ll be retiring in September following the Evian Championship. Miyazato returns to the Tour for the first time since missing the cut at the Ricoh Women’s British Open where her father was hospitalized due to a stroke. Miyazato won in Portland in 2010 where she picked up her fifth win of the year. She’ll play her final U.S. event alongside 2017 rookie Nicole Broch Larsen and Lizette Salas. Larsen arrives in Portland in great form as she’s coming off a tie for third last week in Canada, her best career finish on the LPGA Tour. Salas is making her first start since the Solheim Cup where she helped Team USA secure the final point to ensure the win for her Team.
Stacy Lewis, Gerina Piller, Jodi Ewart Shadoff
1:21 p.m. – 1st Tee
Solheim Cup teammates, Stacy Lewis and Gerina Piller, will enjoy a comfortable grouping this week in Portland where they’ll play alongside Jodi Ewart Shadoff. Lewis finished runner-up in Portland last season thanks to weekend rounds of 67-69. Piller skipped last week’s event in Canada and is making her first start since her Team won the Solheim Cup for the second consecutive year. Piller remains in search of her first win on Tour but continues to climb into contention with four top-10s this season. Ewart Shadoff rounds out this group looking to build on the success she’s found this season with three top-10s including a runner-up finish at the Ricoh Women’s British Open. She’s making her first appearance in Portland since 2013 when she finished tied for 30th.
Lexi Thompson, So Yeon Ryu, Mo Martin
1:32 p.m. – 1st Tee
Lexi Thompson looks to build on what has already been an incredible season for the top-ranked American with nine top-11s plus a victory at the Kingsmill Championship. She’s making her first start since the Solheim Cup in Des Moines. Thompson will play alongside world No. 1 So Yeon Ryu and Mo Martin. Ryu has also had a remarkable season with eight top-10s and two victories. She’s making her first start in Portland since 2014. Martin will look to build on a solid finish last week where she held the lead in Canada but ultimately finished tied for eighth. She’s played well in Portland where she tied for 13th last year.
