Georgia Hall (E), Minjee Lee (E), Joanna Klatten (E)
12:17 p.m. – 1st Tee
The Ladies European Tour’s Georgia Hall will play alongside Minjee Lee and Joanna Klatten on moving day at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. Hall currently leads the LET in top-10s this season, so it should come as no surprise she’s posted two top-4s in her last two starts as she gets closer to earning her first win on Tour. But to have a chance on Sunday, she’ll need to make a move during this third round as she sits five-strokes back of leader Cristie Kerr. Lee and Klatten also head into moving day needing to make up ground on Kerr. Lee opened with rounds of 70-74 and is on track to pick up her seventh top-10 of the season. She’s making her first start this week since the U.S. Women’s Open where she finished tied for 11th. Friday, Klatten posted the low round of the day in cold and windy conditions, shooting four-under par, 68 to make up for the 76 on day one.
Olafia Kristinsdottir (-1), Pornanong Phatlum (-2), Sun Young Yoo (-3)
12:29 p.m. – 1st Tee
Rookie Olafia Kristinsdottir is grouped with Pornanong Phatlum and Sun Young Yoo during the third round at Dundonald Links. Kristinsdottir is on track for her first top-10 of the year, but is playing for much more that this week as she hopes to play her way into next week’s Ricoh Women’s British Open. The rookie was unable to meet the criteria for Monday’s qualifying round at St. Andrews, so she will need a solid finish this week in order to punch her ticket to Kingsbarns. Phatlum has played some of her best golf of the year during the month of July. Earlier this month, she carded a final round, 10-under par, 62 at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic to climb into the top-5 and post her best finish of the year. She’ll need to go low this weekend to stay within striking distance of Kerr and have a chance at her first win on Sunday. Yoo heads into moving day tied for third with Sei Young Kim at three-under par, two-back of the lead. The two-time winner is looking to pick up her first win since the 2012 ANA Inspiration.
Sei Young Kim (-3), Karrie Webb (-4), Cristie Kerr (-5)
12:41 p.m. – 1st Tee
Sei Young Kim will play in the final group of the day alongside veterans Karrie Webb and Cristie Kerr. This group owns 66 LPGA victories between them, with both Kim and Kerr already winners this season on Tour. Wind has been no match for Kim, a six-time winner on Tour, who won three times in her rookie season in windy island conditions. While the temperatures will be much cooler, the wind will be much the same Saturday with gusts forecasted upwards of 30 miles per hour. With a 65 on Thursday, Webb posted her low round of the year and took the early lead in Scotland. But the windy conditions on Friday got the better of the Hall of Famer, as they did much of the field, she struggled to a three-over par, 75 to trail by one. Webb owns 41 victories on the LPGA Tour and is looking to win for the first time since 2014. Kerr, a 19-time winner on Tour, took the lead on Friday with opening rounds of 66-73. She is already a winner this season at the LOTTE Championship in Hawaii and has put herself in contention throughout the year with five more top-10s.
