Jodi Ewart Shadoff (-5), Sung Hyun Park (-5)
1:00 p.m.- 1st Tee
Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Sung Hyun Park will have to make up some ground on moving day to stay within striking distance of the lead. Both sit four-strokes back of leader Cristie Kerr. Ewart Shadoff is coming off her low round of 2017 after posting a bogey-free, 67 on Friday. She’s playing with extra motivation this season in hopes of earning her way back onto the European Solheim Cup team after missing out in 2015. She’s making her fifth start at the Kia Classic this week where she finished 16th in 2013. Park has settled in quickly as a rookie on the LPGA Tour and taken the early lead in the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year standings. The world No. 12 has posted only one round in the 70s since joining the Tour, which came on Thursday at the Kia Classic.
Mo Martin (-8), Mi Jung Hur (-6)
1:30 p.m. – 1st Tee
First round co-leader Mo Martin remains in the hunt heading into the weekend and will play alongside Mi Jung Hur on Saturday. Martin enters moving day just one-stroke back of Kerr. All week she’s talked about the hometown support she’s received and the growing number of fans supporting her this week as a California native. She’ll look to pick up her second career win this weekend. Hur is off to the strongest start of her career on Tour with top-30 finishes in her first three starts of 2017. She’ll look to build on the strong showing she had in this event last season when she finished in a share of 12th.
Cristie Kerr (-9), Mirim Lee (-8)
1:40 p.m. – 1st Tee
36-hole leader Cristie Kerr separated herself from the pack after day one with a second round, 69. She led by as many as three-strokes on Friday before dropping two-strokes on her inward nine. But Kerr knows what it takes to get a win here, having captured the 2015 Kia Classic for her 17th career win on the LPGA Tour. That year, it was her playing partner Mirim Lee who finished runner-up. She’s gotten off to a hot start in 2017 with three top-13s.
