Popular LPGA veteran Natalie Gulbis has accepted a sponsor’s exemption and will be in Portland as part of a strong field for the Cambia Portland Classic when it begins on August 31 at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.
An LPGA champion of the 2007 Evian Masters, Gulbis has also represented the United States as part of three Solheim Cup teams in 2005, 2007 and 2009.
“Throughout her career, Natalie has been a fantastic supporter of the Portland Classic,” said Tournament Golf Foundation Chairman, Tom Maletis. “I can’t recall a year since she turned professional when she hasn’t come to Portland and we are thrilled to have her back again as part of the Portland Classic.”
“I am really excited to play in Portland,” said Gulbis. “It's the purest golf of the season, and an event rich in LPGA tradition.”
