Rolex Rankings
Cristie Kerr made the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week by climbing eight spots to No. 18 in the standings with her victory at the LOTTE Championship Presented by HERSHEY. The two-time major champion fired a final round 6-under par, 66 to win by three shots for her 19th career win on the LPGA Tour. With her victory, Kerr has now recorded at least one win in 12 different seasons. Since the Rolex Rankings were first established in February 2006, Kerr has not ranked outside the top 35 in the world. She entered the rankings at No. 5 in February 2006 and spent 342 consecutive weeks ranked in the top 10, which includes five weeks at the No. 1 position in 2010.
Other Notable Moves
Two-time Solheim Cup veteran, Lizette Salas, hopes to play her way on to her third U.S. roster this August. Salas finished T11 in Hawaii which elevated her into the 13th position in the Solheim Cup Points standings and closer to representing the United States in Des Moines, Iowa.
The top-eight in the standings will earn an automatic berth onto Team U.S.A. in addition to the top-two ranked Americans in the Rolex Rankings who have not already qualified by way of the Solheim Cup points standings. If the U.S. team was set today, Solheim Cup veterans Michelle Wie, Paula Creamer, Morgan Pressel and Christina Kim would need to rely on a captain’s pick in order to make the team.
