ONEIDA, WISCONSIN (June 28, 2017) – The LPGA today announced that Rolex Rankings No. 2 Ariya Jutanugarn will headline a field of LPGA stars at the inaugural Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, July 3 – 9, at Thornberry Creek at Oneida.
Jutanugarn, a six-time LPGA winner and 2016 LPGA Player of the Year, is one of 12 major champions in the field including familiar LPGA names like:
- Fan favorite and 2010 U.S. Women’s Open champion Paula Creamer
- Four-time winner and top Canadian star Brooke Henderson
- Top-earning American and 19-time LPGA winner Cristie Kerr
- 15-time LPGA winner and European Solheim Cup legend Suzann Pettersen
- LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame member Karrie Webb
Other top names in the field include 2015 U.S. Women’s Open champion Ingee Chun, European Solheim Cup star Charley Hull, and fan favorites Christina Kim and Cheyenne Woods.
“I’m really excited to see Green Bay and test my game at Thornberry Creek,” said Jutanugarn, who will be joined in the field by her sister, Moriya. “I have heard that Wisconsin has some serious golf fans and we look forward to competing in front of them next week.”
Four former Rolex Rankings No. 1 players (Jutanugarn, Kerr, Inbee Park and Yani Tseng) will tee it up at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, as well as 12 LPGA major champions. The Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic will serve as the final test prior to the U.S. Women’s Open, to be played the following week in New Jersey.
The Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic features a $2 million purse with a $300,000 first-place check. A field of 144 golfers will play 72 holes of stroke-play over four consecutive days, beginning Thursday, July 6. Tournament pairings will be released on Tuesday, July 4.

Tournament coverage will be broadcast live on Golf Channel beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, July 6 and Friday, July 7, and 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time on Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9.

A variety of advance ticket sale options are still available through the tournament website including Single Day Grounds Tickets ($25), Weekly Grounds Tickets ($70.00), Single Day Clubhouse Tickets ($60), Weekly Clubhouse Tickets ($150.00). There will be an increase in ticket prices at the gate. Children 17 and under are admitted to the tournament free of charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
