After two days of competition, Team USA won for the second year in a row setting a record for the largest winning margin (18 strokes) over runners-up Spain and Korea. The U.S. also became the first country to have both the boys’ and girls’ champions.
In the girls’ category, Alexa Pano (Lakeworth, Fla.) was victorious thanks to an eagle on 15 and a bogey-free final-round 63 (-9) for a final score of 135 (-9), four shots ahead of Danish player Amalie Leth-Nissen. Kynadie Adams (Gallatin, Tenn.) finished T12.
In the boys’ category, Luke Potter (Encinatas, Calif.) finished first with a final score of 134 (-10). Potter opened the tournament with a 63 (-9) and captured a two-stroke victory over Spanish players Alvaro Revuelta and Alvaro Portillo. Mahanth Chirravuri (Chandler, Ariz.) finished fourth.
