This week during captain Juli Inkster’s visit to Gleneagles, site of the 2019 Solheim Cup, she let one of her team's secrets slip. The three-time captain of Team U.S.A. brought along on the trip her long-time friend Pat Hurst, who she revealed on Instagram will be joining her as assistant captain in 2019. Inkster wrote: @thegleneagleshotel site visit for @solheimcup2019 with my ass captain @pat_hurst amazing venue for an amazing event!
Hurst also served as assistant captain in 2015 and 2017. The 2019 Solheim Cup returns to Europe and will be staged at Gleneagles in Scotland, where the Americans will look to win their third consecutive matches. Catriona Matthew will captain Team Europe.
