For the fourth consecutive year, Morgan Pressel achieved the unthinkable. Monday, her annual Morgan & Friends charity event raised more than one million dollars to fight breast cancer. It’s the fourth consecutive year that Pressel crossed the seven-figure mark during her two-day fund raising event with a total of $1,000,622 raised for 2019.
“To pass one million dollars for the fourth year in a row…I am speechless!!” Pressel posted in a note on Twitter. “Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, and committee members for your dedication to making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.”
The 12th edition of Morgan & Friends once included some of the biggest names on the LPGA Tour, who year after year turn out to support Pressel. Brooke Henderson, Paula Creamer, Lexi Thompson, So Yeon Ryu, Gerina Piller, Juli Inkster and Brittany Linicome participated in this year’s event. Musician Colt Ford and renowned instructor, Martin Hall, also lent their support.
“I am forever grateful to the incredible women who have supported this event year after year, and excited to have Colt and Martin join us for the first time this year!” Pressel posted on social media. “They are wonderful golfers, but even better people and I am so thankful for their love and friendship.”
The two-day event included a fundraising dinner as well as a golf tournament and clinic to raise money for the Morgan Pressel Foundation, which was created following the passing of Morgan’s mother to breast cancer.
