Of her historic win last week, beating two Top 10 Rolex Rankings LPGA players in a playoff at Palm Springs, California, Mirim Lee says, “I haven’t celebrated my win at all. With COVID-19 and everything, I was a bit hesitant to celebrate with friends. I think I’ll celebrate once I return home to South Korea.”
Thus, still in competitive mode, Lee has a few things she wants to work on ahead of another great week.
“I think I feel so-so given how I haven’t been able to practice much, but overall, I still feel good. The thing I look forward to most is how I’ll play. As I’ve mentioned to everyone, I wasn’t satisfied with how my shots played out during the final round at ANA Inspiration. I’ve always struggled a bit with the mechanics regarding my downswing, so lately, I’ve been focusing on that part of my game.”
