One of the LPGA’s most active and fun follows on social media is undoubtedly Jessica Korda. However, she’s been unusually quiet for most of December.
Why?
She provided some clarification over the weekend with word that she had successful jaw surgery and is now recovering.
LPGA.com has learned that the jaw issue has lingered for a couple years and the surgery was strategically planned for this offseason.
While Korda’s Twitter and Instagram posts were vague on her return, she expects to be back on the course in January and will play a full schedule in 2018.
It’s great news for the LPGA as Korda – who will enter her 8th full season in 2018 – is a fan favorite.
She has 25 career top 10 finishes and will likely cross $4 million in career earnings in 2018.
