Career
As in 1987, Klass’ best 1988 finish was a tie for 13th early in the season at the Mazda Classic. She participated in only 10 events during 1988 which is the least amount of events she played since joining the Tour in 1976. Her other top finish was a tie for 33rd at the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic. The 13-year veteran’s most successful year remains 1984 when she recorded top-10 finishes, including her career-best finish of a tie for second at both the West Virginia Classic and the San Jose Classic. That year she collected $51,572 and finished 41st on the money list.

Amateur
Before she played amateur golf, Klass stunned the golf world by turning professional at the age of nine. During the 1965 season she won $31.00. After having her amateur status reinstated, she won more than 25 state and city tournaments in the Los Angeles area over the next six years. She won the 1964 National PeeWee Championship at the age of eight by 65 strokes.
