In 2000, best finish of the season was a tie for seventh at the LPGA Takefuji Classic.
In 1999, tied for 21st at both the Longs Drugs Challenge and the Jamie Farr Kroger Classic; posted her first LPGA career hole-in-one during the second round of the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship.
In 1998, best finish was a second place at the Cup Noodles Hawaiian Ladies Open, where she lost to Wendy Ward in a playoff.

Dormann was named the top junior golfer by GOLF Magazine in 1985. That same year, she won the U.S. Junior Girls and the Optimist Junior World titles and also finished second at the PGA National Junior. She played on the San Jose State University golf team, where she was a three-time All-American from 1986-88. She was a member of the 1987 NCAA Championship team.
