Professional

Washam played a limited eight-event schedule in 1989.  In 1988, Washam played in 23 tournaments and recorded three top-30 finishes.  The best season of Washam’s 17-year career was 1980.  She posted 12 top-10 placings on her way to over $107,000 in earnings.  A three-time winner on the Tour, Washam won the 1975 Patty Berg Classic, the 1975 Portland Classic and the 1979 Rail Charity Golf Classic.  She also captured two unofficial events; the 1976 Pepsi-Cola Mixed Team title with partner Chi Chi Rodriguez and the 1979 Portland Ping Team Championship with Nancy Lopez.  Washam posted her career-low round of 64 at the 1982 Rail Charity Golf Classic.  She became the only player in LPGA history to have scored two holes-in-one during the same event at the 1979 Women’s Kemper Open.
