  • Prior to joining the LPGA in 1985, Alderete played on the Women Professional Golfers’ European Tour mini-tour and was a two-time winner.

  • Originally posted her career-best finish, a tie for 14th, at the 1988 Cellular One-PING LPGA Golf Championship and did it again at both the 1992 Oldsmobile LPGA Classic and Rail Charity Golf Classic.
  • Posted a new career-low round of a 67 during the final round of the 1992 Rail Charity Golf Classic.
  • Recorded a new career-low scoring average of 73.83 in 1992.
  • Top finish in 1993 was a tie for 43rd in the Sara Lee Classic.
  • Tied for 25th at the 1994 Children’s Medical Center LPGA Classic.
  • Best finish in 1995 was a tie for 39th at the LPGA Corning Classic where she tied her career-low score of 67 during the first round.

    Amateur
    Alderete was the runner-up in the 1972 Junior World Championship. In high school, she played on the men’s golf team and was voted MVP. Alderete played for the UCLA golf team before turning professional. She won the California Women’s Open in 1982 and claimed quarterfinalist honors in the 1980 Women’s Broadmoor Invitational.
