2013 Western Section Championship

May 5 - 7, 2013
Rancho LaQuinta Country Club, LaQuinta, CA

Dede Cusimano (77-75=152) won the LPGA T&CP Western Section Championship title by one stroke over Katie Bakken (77-78=153).  With the win, Cusimano earned an exemption into the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship, June 6-9.

Christie Quinn (79-77=156) of Huntington Beach, Calif., took the Challenge Division trophy and Heather Drew (73-74=147) of Bermuda Dunes, Calif. kept the lead for both rounds and took the Senior Division title. Final Results>>

2012 Western Section Championship

Alison Curdt (74-80) of Woodland Hills, Calif., (left in photo) won the Championship Division (6,300 - 6,500 yds.) of the 2012 LPGA Western Section Championship by one stroke over Allison Finney of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., (81-74). With the win, Curdt receives an exemption into the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship.

Dana Dormann (right in photo) of Pleasanton, Calif., (78-76) won the Challenge Division. Christie Quinn of Huntington Beach, Calif., (85-86) came in second. The creation of the new Challenge Division (5,900 - 6200 yds.) in T&CP National and Section Championships was approved by the LPGA T&CP Executive Committee starting this year on the recommodation of the LPGA Tournaments Committee composed of LPGA T&CP members. 

Dede Cusimano of La Quinta, Calif., (72 - 75) kept her first-round two-stroke lead to win the over-50 Masters Divison (5,600 - 5,800 yds).   Heather Drew (75-74) of Bermuda Dunes, Calif. came in second. Cusimano, whose recent move to California changed her LPGA Section to Western from Central, was the 2011 Central Section Championship Senior Division winner.  Final Results>>

2011 Western Section Championship

Debbi Koyama (second from left) successfully defended her 2010 Western Section Championship title with scores of 76-41=117 in the snow-shortened 2011 LPGA T&CP Peppermill Championship Presented by Acura of Reno. With scores of 79-43=122, Allison Finney (left) took second place.  Koyama's win gives her an exemption into the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship. Malia Folquet (second from right) (79-38-117) also successfully defended her 2010 Masters Division title in a closely contested match, defeating second-place winner, Debby King, (right) (78-40=118) by one stroke. 2010 Western Section Championship

La Quinta duo wins 2010 Western Section Championship

Debbi Koyama (left in photo) of La Quinta, CA, extended her first-round lead to 8 strokes (71-73=144) and ran away with the Western Section Championship title of the BAC-Berberian European Motors Championship presented by Tom Cole of Bank of America Loans at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, CA. Koyama's win earns her an exemption into the LPGA Championship presented by Wegmans in June.  Malia Folquet, also of La Quinta, CA, kept her first-round lead (71-76=147) to win the Senior Division crown. Western Section member Dana Bates (right in photo) of Thousand Palms, Calif., won the 2009 LPGA T&CP Western Section Championship. Jamie Zimron of Encinitas, Calif., won the Senior Division. Final Results>>

2008 Western Section Championship

Park-Choi and Snyder win the 2008 Western Section Championship 

POST FALLS, IDAHO – Jenny Park-Choi of Walnut Creek, Calif. wins the 2008 LPGA Western Section Championship with a 71-75=146 with Teresa Ishiguro of Ione, Calif. in second with a 74-74=148 in the championship division at The Links Golf Club. With a 147, Patty Snyder wins the senior division. Final Results>>

Ishiguro and Glasgow win the 2007 Western Section Championship

LINCOLN, CALIF . – Teresa Ishiguro of Ione, Calif. wins the 2007 LPGA T&CP Western Section Championship with a 72-73=145 with Carol Hogan of Palm Desert, Calif. in second with a 73-76=149 in the championship division at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. With a 154, Carla Glasgow wins the senior division. Final Results>>
