2012 LPGA T&CP WESTERN SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP

Alison Curdt (74-80) of Woodland Hills, Calif., (left in photo) won the Championship Division (6,300 - 6,500 yds.) of the 2012 LPGA Western Section Championship by one stroke over Allison Finney of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., (81-74). With the win, Curdt receives an exemption into the 2012 Wegmans LPGA Championship.
Dana Dormann of Pleasanton, Calif., (78-76) won the Challenge Division. Christie Quinn of Huntington Beach, Calif., (85-86) came in second. The creation of the new Challenge Division (5,900 - 6200 yds.) in T&CP National and Section Championships was approved by the LPGA T&CP Executive Committee starting this year on the recommodation of the LPGA Tournaments Committee composed of LPGA T&CP members.
Dede Cusimano of La Quinta, Calif., (72 - 75) kept her first-round two-stroke lead to win the over-50 Masters Divison (5,600 - 5,800 yds). Heather Drew (75-74) of Bermuda Dunes, Calif. came in second. Cusimano, whose recent move to California changed her LPGA Section to Western from Central, was the 2011 Central Section Championship Senior Division winner.

2012 LPGA T&CP SOUTHEAST SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP

Jean Bartholomew (77-71=148) won the Championship Division of the 2012 LPGA T&CP Southeast Section Championship at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club in North Port, Fla. Natalia Navarro (77-77=154) took second place. The win gives Bartholomew (middle in photo) an exemption into next year's Wegmans LPGA Championship.
A four-over-par second round clinched the Challenge Division title for Jennifer Cully (left in photo) (80-76=156). Teresa Zamboni (80-82=162) came in second.
Carolyn Hill (right in photo) shot a consistent 72-73 to win the Senior Division. Maria Gonzalez (84-72=156) took second place.

2012 LPGA T&CP CENTRAL SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP

Denver, Colorado native Stefanie Ferguson edged out veteran player Sherry Andonian-Smith (Castle Rock, CO) in a sudden death play-off during the final round of the 2012 LPGA Central Section Championship. Ferguson fired solid rounds of 72-76 to tie for first, eventually taking the Championship title and earning a coveted exemption into the field of the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship, an LPGA Tour major.
Elena King of Centennial, CO carded scores of 71-77, taking a seven-stroke lead over the field in the Masters Division (players ages 50+).

2012 LPGA T&CP MIDWEST SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP

Lisa Grimes (Alexandria, MN) and Diane Daugherty (Carbondale, Ill.) successfully defended their titles during this year’s LPGA Midwest Section Championship, hosted at the beautiful Champions Golf Course in Columbus, Oh..
Grimes fired two back-to-back rounds of 72 to solidify her lead in the Championship Division, earning an exemption into the field of the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship and edging out runner-up Hillery Wilson (78-78=156) of Farmington, Ark.
Diane Daugherty held on to her first-round lead, carding two back-to-back rounds of 76 to regain her Senior Division Champion title. Senior Division runner-up was Midwest Section Championship host and 2012 LPGA Midwest Section Professional of the Year, Fran Kocsis, who finished with scores of 79-79=158.

Susan Ginter from Wilton, Conn. (74-77=151) won the Championship Division of the LPGA Northeast Section Championship and an exemption into the 2013 Wegmans LPGA Championship. Missie Berteotti from Pittsburgh, Penn. finished second (76-79=155).
Beverly Davis from Greenwich, Conn. (79-74=153) won the Senior Division followed by Cindy Miller from Williamsville, N.Y. (84-73=157).
Joy Bonhurst from Gaithersburg, Md. (77-79=156) won the Challenge Division followed by Laura Tyler of Northumberland, Penn. (89-81=170).
