Careers - FAQ
Q:
Do I have to play golf to get hired?
A:
While some of our positions do require strong knowledge of the game, we have many others that do not. If you have a passion to work for a forward thinking, global sports brand, then let’s explore how we can match your talents and our organization.
Q:
Is travel involved for every position?
A:
For some opportunities, travel may not be required. If travel is required, the percentage of travel will be listed on the job posting.
Q:
I don't see a current job open that matches my background. What do I do?
A:
If you do not see a job posting that matches your skills and experience, you can apply to our "Join the LPGA Talent Community" where your resume and online application will be held in our Talent Pipeline for future opportunities that better match your skill set. You can also follow us at our
Linkedin.com Company Page
for latest news and updates to job openings.
Q:
When do health benefits "kick in" for full-time positions?
A:
If you are a full-time employee, you and your eligible dependents are covered on the first day of the month following your start date. For example, if you are hired on January 9th, you will be covered on February 1.
Q:
What internet browser works best with the online application process?
A:
All browsers are compatible. You can also apply from your mobile device.
Q:
How long does the interview process take?
A:
The interview process depends on the position and the availability of management and candidate interviews.
Q:
Do all jobs require an interview at the Daytona Beach Headquarters?
A:
If the position is based in Daytona Beach, you will have the opportunity to have a face to face interview in Daytona Beach. You will meet and discuss your background with other team members within the organization. At the LPGA, we believe that interviews are no longer "one-sided". Interviews are equal on both sides and we want to ensure you have the opportunity to experience our culture (first hand) and "See Why It's Different IN Here"
Q:
Are all jobs based in Daytona Beach, FL?
A:
No, not all positions are based in Daytona Beach. Each position will state the location of the role and any required travel.
Q:
Do you consider candidates that are not local to Daytona Beach?
A:
Yes, we recruit nation-wide for our opportunities. If you are not local to Daytona Beach, your application may still be considered.
Q:
How many employees are on the LPGA Team?
A:
The LPGA has over 100 full-time employees. The majority of our team members are based at our Daytona Beach Headquarters.
Q:
What are some of the business areas that the LPGA has openings?
A:
Here is a list of our corporate departments at the LPGA: Communications, Creative Services, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, LPGA Foundation/Girls Golf, Marketing, Media Operations, Player Services, Strategic Partnerships, Television, Tournament Business Affairs, Tournament Operations, LPGA Tournament Properties.
Q:
Is LPGA considered a non-profit?
A:
The LPGA is one of the longest-running women's professional sports associations in the world. Founded in 1950, the organization has grown from its roots as a playing tour into a non-profit organization involved in every facet of golf. Currently, the LPGA is a 501(c)(6).
Q:
What is a typical day like at the LPGA?
A:
A typical day at the LPGA is always changing due to the needs of the business, tournaments, and the department in which you would work. Should you get the opportunity to interview with us for a particular role, the hiring manager and team would be able to explain the ins-and-outs of a typical day. This would be a great question to ask during the interview process.
Q:
How do I get noticed and considered for a potential internship?
A:
If you do not see an internship posting that matches your skills and experience, you can apply to our "Join the LPGA Talent Community" where your resume and online application will be held in our Talent Pipeline for future internship opportunities that match your skill set. You can also follow our Linkedin.com Company Page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/lpga) for latest news and updates to internship openings.
