Clifton, NJ - The world's best female golfers will travel to Clifton, New Jersey next week for the Sybase® Classic presented by ShopRite with a little bit of history on the line. Three-time defending champion Lorena Ochoa could become only the third golfer ever to win the same event four consecutive times. However, she will face one of the strongest fields to ever compete in the tournament. Players had until Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET to commit to the event. The tournament will be held May 14 - 17.

"This is a very exciting time for us with the tournament only a week away," said Tournament Executive Director Andy Bush. "We are happy that so many of the top players have committed. Lorena is coming off her second victory and playing fantastic golf, and she will be going up against a very capable group of veterans and newcomers. Fans can still get their tickets to see the battle of the best in the world."

Ochoa, the number one player in the world, headlines the list of competitors. The three-time champion is also the three-time defending Rolex Player of the Year and Vare Trophy winner for lowest scoring average. She will be joined by the other nine members from the Rolex Rankings top-10, and 27 of the top-30. The only Rolex Rankings' top-30 members not playing this week are Jeong Jang, who is recovering from wrist surgery, and two players who compete on the LPGA of Japan (JLPGA).

The tournament also has the past nine major championship winners from the LPGA Tour and all six Tour winners in 2009. Five past Sybase Classic champions will return. In addition to Ochoa, Juli Inkster (1992), Michele Redman (1997), Hee-Won Han (2003) and Paula Creamer (2005) will each compete.

ShopRite Price Plus card members receive free admission for two by showing your card at the main gate every day, May 14 - 17. Lincoln Mercury owners show your keys at the main gate for free admission for you and a guest on Saturday, May 16. Those 15 and under are admitted free all week with a ticketed adult.
