Junior Golf AcademyOne expands sites, opens in Pinehurst region
LPGA member Kelly Cap, Titleist golf professional Mark Miller to serve as site directors
Registration now open for first sessions

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Jan. 18, 2011 – Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) member Kelly Cap and Mark Miller, Titleist staff golf professional at Pinehurst Resort, have teamed up with fellow LPGA member Suzanne Strudwick as site directors for the Junior Golf AcademyOne's second location. Beginning Feb. 9, 2011, Junior Golf AcademyOne -- under the local management of Golf Fore Kids in the Sandhills -- will operate at Beacon Ridge Golf & Country Club in West End, N.C., just on the outskirts of historic Pinehurst, N.C.

“We are thrilled to open our second Junior Golf AcademyOne,” said Strudwick, Academy co-founder. “Our program helps junior golfers develop sports-specific skills, learn golf-specific skills and, most importantly, create a love for the game. Pinehurst has such a storied history in golf and we are excited to bring our innovative junior golf program to youth in the region.

“Kelly (Cap) and Mark (Miller) are experienced golf instructors and players who share their love of the game and passion to help juniors improve their skills through our Academy program,” said Strudwick.

Cap and Miller have been long-time residents of the Pinehurst area and have worked extensively with golfers of all levels. They combine their expert golf skills with expansive participation in regular fitness regimens.

“Having the opportunity to open a Junior Golf AcademyOne brings together both of my lifelong passions -- golf and fitness,” said Cap. “I used fitness to develop my golf career and look forward to sharing this knowledge with the junior golfers in the greater Pinehurst area.”
