Veteran sports marketing and business development executive brings 20 years of golf and hospitality experience to LPGA

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA, Sept. 4, 2012 – The LPGA today announced that veteran sports marketing and business development professional Ricki M. Lasky has been named Vice President, Tournament Business Affairs. In this role, Lasky will lead the LPGA’s efforts in managing relationships with and delivering value to current tournaments, title sponsors and business partners. Lasky, whose duties will also focus on new tournament and title opportunities, will begin her role with Golf’s Global Tour on September 24.

"Ricki has been both a tournament director and a title sponsor, which are two of the most important constituents we serve,” said Jon Podany, LPGA Chief Marketing Officer. “Her experience will be invaluable as we strive to deliver increasing value to tournaments and titles, and strengthen our tournament schedule. We are thrilled that Ricki is joining our team."

Lasky’s 20-year career in golf includes a nine-year stint with the Championship Management division of Pinehurst Resort. In her time there, she contributed to five USGA events including the 2007 U.S. Women’s Open, where she served as tournament director of the event that set an attendance record and surpassed sales goals by nearly $1 million. She also led client hospitality and sales efforts at the 2005 U.S. Open and managed hospitality sales, marketing and promotions for the 2002 U.S. Senior Open. More recently, Lasky was Senior Director of Sports Marketing at McGladrey, where she was responsible for the company’s title sponsorship of the PGA TOUR’s McGladrey Classic and sports marketing relationships with Team McGladrey, a group that includes LPGA star Natalie Gulbis and PGA TOUR members Davis Love III, Zach Johnson and Chris DiMarco.

Lasky will report to Podany and oversee a team that includes Greg Conrad, Vice President, Tournament Business Affairs, and Sean Pyun, Director, Tournament Business Affairs. A graduate of The College of New Jersey and Johnson and Wales University, she will relocate with her family from Charlotte, N.C. to the Daytona Beach area.
