The 2015 LPGA Tour season has been quite the eventful and memorable affair, and the world’s best women professional golfers have not disappointed in delivering high drama on a weekly basis.

With just seven events remaining on the schedule, the Tour and its stars get a needed rest from the grind the next two weeks as the LPGA takes a break to gear up for the home stretch. This will be the last chance for players to rest, regroup and sharpen their games before the season concludes Nov. 19-22 with the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Fla.

Nagging injuries can have a bit more time to heal, sleep can be found in spades, range sessions can help get a player back into form and there will be plenty of time for other things on the to-do list before players hit the road for a heck of a closing act. After the next two weeks, the season will click by quicker than a tee shot, and there is still plenty of storylines to be written in 2015.

The Tour will resume action Oct. 8-11 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia for the first of five consecutive events in Asia. Shanshan Feng is the defending champion of that $2 million event, a tournament that began in 2010.

Republic of Korea’s Q Baek will lead the field to her home country the following week as she looks to successfully defend her title at the LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship Oct. 15-18 in Incheon. The Asian swing then continues with the Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship Oct. 22-25, where world No. 1 Inbee Park will be looking to add a fifth 2015 tournament win in yet another title defense.

Oct. 29-Nov. 1, the Blue Bay LPGA takes the Tour back to China, and Lee-Anne Pace will be tasked with defending her first career LPGA win. The six-week tour then concludes with the Toto Japan Classic in Shima-Shi, Mie, and Mi Hyang Lee will be gunning for two in a row in an event that dates back to the early 1970s.

Hall of Famer Lorena Ochoa will play host to the LPGA’s best Nov. 12-15 at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational Presented by Banamex and JTBC in Mexico City, Mexico, a great tune-up for the season’s culminating event in Florida. Christina Kim is the defending champion south of the border, and she’d love to have that same feeling again at the end of tournament week.

It’s all building up to the CME Group Tour Championship, where the best players will be looking to do what Lydia Ko did a year ago and claim the $1 million prize. The races for Rolex Player of the Year, Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year and other chief season-long awards are far from over, and the final seven weeks will decide it all.
