Lizette Salas shares the second-round lead with Lexi Thompson and Alison Lee heading into the weekend at the Meijer LPGA Classic presented by Kraft at Blythefield Country Club.

Conditions Friday morning were similar to what the first round leaders experienced yesterday, but the afternoon wave saw a bit more wind.

"You know, the wind definitely kicked in this afternoon and you had to be really precise on your targets," said Salas. "And it caught the rough a little bit today, had to have a good short game. It's the difference between a morning wave and afternoon wave and you just have to deal with it."

“Playing in the morning without the wind and the greens are a little bit softer in the morning, so it’s easier to just control the way your irons are going to bounce out onto the greens,” said Thompson. “So it’s a lot easier to control than yesterday in the afternoon.”

Thompson and Lee shared their respective approaches heading into the weekend.

"I'll take the same approach just go in the weekend with a positive attitude and do my routine going into every shot focus on my breathing and just have fun out there," said Thompson. " Obviously I always want to make birdies out there but you have to take one shot at a time."

Lee said it felt really good to have all those birdies in the second round and she's hoping to take that momentum into the weekend because there is still a lot of golf to play.
