15 Players Featured in Television Ads Debuting This Week on Golf Channel

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., January 28, 2015 – The LPGA debuted three new campaign spots today on Golf Channel and will air regularly this week during the Tour’s season-opening telecast, the Coates Golf Championship Presented by R+L Carriers. This year marks the fifth edition of the LPGA’s annual ad campaign and again highlights the unique personalities of the biggest stars in the women’s game. A total of 15 different players are featured in the spots.

The three ads were filmed at the 2014 CME Group Tour Championship in collaboration with marketing and creative consultants, Kent Simon and Rich Tlapek. They will air during LPGA telecasts on Golf Channel, additional Golf Channel programming and adapted in select local tournament markets. Two more spots are expected to be added to the campaign later this year.

“‘The See Why It’s Different Out Here’ brand campaign has not only become the tagline for the LPGA but has become a way of doing business every day,” said LPGA Chief Commercial Officer Jon Podany. “We were pleased to once again have great participation from the players and believe the spots showcase the engaging personalities of our stars and also highlight their exceptional athletic achievements.”

The three new spots include:

“Inspired” – Hosted by Paula Creamer and Belen Mozo: they pose the question “Who inspired you to become a professional golfer?” Hear the stories from Lydia Ko, Mo Martin, Lizette Salas, the winning 2014 International Crown team from Spain – Belen Mozo, Azahara Munoz, Carlota Ciganda and Beatriz Recari and the Korean trio of Na Yeon Choi, Inbee Park and So Yeon Ryu.
“Stats” – Hosted by Brittany Lincicome and Azahara Munoz: this spot answers the question: “Just how good are the ladies on the LPGA Tour?” Also starring Lexi Thompson and her average driving distance of 272 yards; Mo Martin, who hits the fairway 87% of the time; Suzann Pettersen shows off her 77% greens in regulation stat and Inbee Park is featured alongside her 72% top-10 finishes stat.
“Swings” – Hosted by Suzann Pettersen and Michelle Wie: this spot focuses on some of the more distinctive swings on the LPGA Tour. Also starring Brittany Lincicome, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson, Na Yeon Choi and both Pettersen and Wie.

In addition to the LPGA’s Golf Channel telecasts, the spots will be featured through the LPGA’s international television partners, on LPGA.com, and via the LPGA’s social media channels, including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook.
