SUN CITY WEST, Ariz., March 5, 2015 – With the addition today of one qualifying player, the tournament field is now finalized and pairings are set for the 4th annual Walgreens Charity Championship.

Lisa DePaulo of Austin, Texas played her way into this weekend’s season-opening tournament at Grandview Golf Course with a 2-under-par score of 70 to edge out Lauren Howe, who carded a one-under 71.

Fellow former University of Texas player Sherri Steinhauer, now a regular competitor on the Legends Tour, caddied for her fellow Longhorn in today’s qualifying tournament. DePaulo often caddies for Steinhauer in Legends Tour events.

The tournament’s pro-am begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday with the 36-hole championship starting Saturday at 9 a.m. Sunday’s final-round tee times also start at 9 a.m.

Ten LPGA and World Golf Hall of Fame members are in the tournament field this week. Hall of Famers Amy Alcott, Pat Bradley, Donna Caponi, JoAnne Carner, Sandra Hayne, Juli Inkster, Betsy King, Nancy Lopez, Patty Sheehan and Hollis Stacy will headline the field of 50 LPGA Legends competing for a $250,000 purse.

The event’s 2014 champion, 13-time LPGA Tour winner Liselotte Neumann of Sweden, will return to defend her title.

Admission into Friday’s pro-am is free, but donations to the event’s official charities are welcome. All contributions will support the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the American Diabetes Association.

Tickets are on sale for $10 per adult each day at all area Walgreens stores at $5 off pricing at the gate. Full-price tickets will be sold at the gate for each round. Kids 17-under, as well as active military with an ID, will be admitted free of charge.

A free public parking lot is located at 19803 N.R.H. Johnson Boulevard, Sun City West, Ariz., 85375. Complimentary shuttle service to the main entrance of Grandview Golf Course will be provided to and from the parking lot.
