Finishing with a bang has been a theme thus far in the Wounded Warrior Weekend season-long charity initiative. Of the 12 eagles scored in weekend rounds over the first two tournaments on the 2015 LPGA schedule, five of them have occurred on the final hole of the round.

The Wounded Warrior Weekend takes place during the final two rounds at LPGA tournaments, with CME Group donating $1,000 to Wounded Warrior Project for each eagle that is recorded. This amount will increase to $5,000 for each eagle during the weekend of the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship and a formal check will be presented to the Wounded Warrior Project during the trophy ceremony. Two weeks ago at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic, there were seven eagles on the weekend and four of those came on the reachable par-5 18^th hole. Natalie Gulbis finished her third round with an eagle, only to be topped by Suzann Pettersen who completed a 70 with an eagle and totaled another 70 in the final round, again with an eagle on the finishing hole. Jaye Marie Green outdid Pettersen by eagling the fourth hole in the final round and then made a 3 on the par-5 finishing hole in the final round to shoot 70. Inbee Park made the only eagle on the finishing hole in the season-opening Coates Golf Championship.

There have been 12 eagles this season to up the Wounded Warrior Weekend total to $12,000.
